About Adult Theatre Workshop
Discover, Create, Connect: key acting and performance skills for everyone
Wiltshire Creative invites all adults with an interest in theatre to join Adult Theatre Workshop, designed for anyone who wants to explore and develop performance skills in a supportive, creative environment led by theatre professionals.
Whether you’re reconnecting with a passion for theatre, building on past experience, or stepping into the rehearsal room for the first time, this is your chance to learn and experiment without the pressure of performance. Just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm.
Over 5–6 week blocks, you’ll work with professional theatre makers, directors and actors to develop a range of exciting skills.
This first block this June – July will focus on the building of ensemble performance skills with Sam Holland-Bunyan – a multidisciplinary theatre maker, co-founder of Hinterland Theatre Company. Building on a significant career as a theatre actor Sam is an active director, working nationally. In 2026 Sam will create work for a range of organisations, including HOME Manchester, The Dukes Lancaster and Bloomsbury Festival.
Future plans for the group include; an actors approach to Shakespeare, comedy performance skills, storytelling and devising.
Adult Theatre Workshop is about the joy of learning, creativity, and being part of a company of like-minded individuals. You’ll gain access to ideas and approaches often reserved for formal training, right on your doorstep at Salisbury Arts Centre.
Join us and become part of a vibrant, collaborative company.
