A Wiltshire village, today. Rob and his fiancée Georgie are checking out the village hall for their wedding reception, but Rob’s mum wonders if they're rushing into things. Just as they begin to talk her round, a figure from Georgie’s past appears and threatens to to shatter their plans. Very soon Georgie’s is questioning who really is the love of her life.
Barney Norris’s explosive retelling of Lorca’s classic tragedy sets the action firmly in a modern day Wiltshire community that’s rocked by revelations and gossip. His previous plays include Echo’s End and The Remains of the Day at Salisbury Playhouse.
"Has an emotional pull that confirms Norris as a writer to watch" The Guardian on Echo's End (2017)
