Excitement is building at Salisbury Playhouse as rehearsals for Rock & Roll Man hit full swing. The production, led by Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis, tells the story of Alan Freed – the pioneering DJ who famously coined the term “Rock & Roll” and brought a new sound to the airwaves, inspiring a generation.

The cast is bringing the music to life with a mix of explosive original songs and timeless classics from legends like Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, and The Drifters. The energy, rebellion, and rhythm of the era are already taking shape on stage, giving audiences a taste of what’s to come.

Directed by Tony Award nominee Randal Myler and featuring choreography by Drama Desk Award winner Stephanie Klemons, Rock & Roll Man is finding its groove – and this is just the beginning.
