
About Creative Writing for Wellbeing
Discover the transformative power of creative writing and journaling in this supportive weekly group.
Over 4 weeks you will develop your creative writing skills and see how prose and poetry can be used to recover old memories, find fresh perspectives and create insights, self-awareness and self-confidence. All whilst having fun and enjoying working in a group.
Led by experienced writing for wellbeing practitioner, Frances Owen, participants will use series of guided exercises and prompts, designed to open up new ways of thinking, You will also build a toolbox of techniques and ideas, using writing, poetry, pictures, photos and objects, which can continue to be used in daily life as practical methods underpinning an effective writing and personal journaling.
Everyone is invited to share their work with the group, though there's never any pressure to do so and no previous experience is necessary in this safe and non-judgemental creative space.
All you need is a pen, paper, and an open mind. Join us and see where your words can take you!
