This Christmas-themed taster class, especially for young people, will guide you through the basics of designing and creating fused glass Christmas decorations using a variety of pre-cut glass and accessories. You will create three items from the following festive options: Christmas Tree, Gonk, Snowman, Santa, Penguin or a Christmas Wreath.

At the end of the workshop, these will be fired to a smooth finish in a kiln and will be ready for collection about one week later.

No matter what your ability, all are welcome to this friendly and supportive class. No prior experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided.

This workshop will be led by Helen Southwell, a glass artist and teacher based in Salisbury with over 40 years' experience in education. From her studio in Salisbury, Wiltshire, Helen makes kiln-formed and mosaic glass art for the home and garden as well as undertaking larger projects and stained-glass work on commission.
