About Japanese Printmaking Studio

Explore the creative possibilities of printmaking in this hands-on workshop during February half term!

Discover the bold imagery and storytelling of traditional Japanese ukiyo-e prints and explore how contemporary artists take inspiration from ukiyo-e today. Experiment with a range of techniques to develop your own designs and create your own original Japanese-inspired prints.

No printmaking experience is necessary – all are welcome to join this fun, supportive, inclusive session.

Japanese Printmaking Studio will be led by exciting young artist, Kiri Horikiri-White. Kiri is a British-Japanese artist and printmaker whose work explores identity, memory and cultural heritage. She works across printmaking, painting and mixed media, and has delivered creative workshops for children, young people and communities across Wiltshire and the South West.

All materials will be provided, but please bring a water bottle and a packed lunch with you, and wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting messy!
