Theatre and Dance
About our events
Whether you’re looking to develop your own performance skills or want to understand how theatre works, we’ve got opportunities for you.
Our adult theatre workshops at Salisbury Arts Centre offer a chance to develop acting skills, supported by professionals. Open to anyone with or without experience, you’ll learn and experiment without the pressure of performance. You’ll become part of a vibrant, collaborative company, with access to ideas and approaches often reserved for formal training.
You could also explore how theatre is made by joining our Momentum programme. A mix of workshops, talks and projects, sessions are led by professional artists practitioners across a range of art forms. You’ll gain insight into the world of Salisbury Playhouse and meet like-minded people.
Or join a backstage tour to step behind the scenes and find out how we make our celebrated productions. Tread the boards of the Main Stage, walk the dressing room corridors, have a peek at our costume department and see where the amazing scenery is constructed.
If you’re approaching 60 and over and dance is more your style, you can join DANCE 6-0. These friendly, fun weekly classes will encourage you to embrace the joy of life through dance and movement.
