News Story
We are excited to share that we received over 60 applications from local young performers aged 12-17 to audition for the Young Company of this year’s pantomime, Dick Whittington- written by Plested, Brown and Wilsher. Twelve of these auditionees will be chosen to perform with a professional acting company and production team, and join Dick Whittington on his quest for fame and fortune! This is a great opportunity for all young people who love to act, dance or sing to work and perform with a professional acting company and production team.
Wiltshire Creative’s Artistic Director Gareth Machin said: “It was brilliant to bring panto back to Salisbury in 2022 and 2023 will see us building on that success. Dick Whittington is one of the great panto stories and, penned by the same writers as Cinderella, promises to be a spectacular, fresh and sparkly production full of music, dance and laughter. The young company will be right at the heart of the production, working closely with our talented professional cast bringing festive cheer to our city.”
