News Story

From the 24th May till 4th June, we are staging a unique re-imagining of Shakespeare’s The Tempest in our wonderful Churchill Gardens.

It’s a promenade performance in 8 different areas of the park with a large cast, the minority of whom are professional with the majority from the local community, ranging in ages from 7 to 80+.

We are seeking wonderful volunteers to help make the magic happen in a number of ways:

• Stewards to move with the audience from one performance area to another

• Chaperones for the young cast (DBS will be required but we can sort this out)

• Stewards to stay at one location with the set while the cast and audience are at another

• Access Hosts to help audience members with mobility issues use more accessible routes

Here’s a link for information on the production: The Tempest

This will be a wonderful opportunity to get involved in outdoor theatre and a production that will attract a lot of attention locally.

Ideally, volunteers will be able to offer a few dates so that any training and DBS issues are of good use, and for rostering purposes.
