We are recruiting a Community Cast for Romeo & Juliet in 2026!
By signing up to be part of the Community Cast, you will perform alongside the cast of professional actors and a young company. You will be part of rehearsals from February to May and then perform in half of the live performances in May and June 2026.
The production will be a promenade/walking show, which moves the audience through locations in and around Salisbury Playhouse. You will be part of several scenes that are in both indoor and outdoor locations.
You will be allocated to be part of the Red or Blue team, which means you would perform in 11 performances. We are looking for a commitment to attend all of the rehearsals and all performances assigned to your team. Please note that you must be able to attend ALL technical rehearsals (please see full schedule below).
Important information
There is no previous dance or singing experience required, however please be aware that mobility and a level of stamina will be required to take part in the production. You must be prepared to rehearse and perform in any weather, although precautions will be taken for rain if necessary.
You will be given a costume to wear for the performances, but may be asked to wear a ‘base’ of something neutral (including footwear) that you provide yourself.
