We’re excited to share the first official production images from Rock & Roll Man, now open at Salisbury Playhouse.
After months of work behind the scenes, the production has launched in front of live audiences, and these newly released images offer a first look at the show as it appears on stage – capturing the energy, scale and spirit of the production in full performance.
Rock & Roll Man tells the story of pioneering DJ Alan Freed, the broadcaster credited with popularising the term “rock & roll” and helping bring a new sound to mainstream radio. The show charts a moment of cultural change, when music became a powerful force for youth identity, rebellion and social shift.
Led by Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis, the cast perform a mix of original numbers alongside classic songs made famous by Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Drifters and more. The production is directed by Tony Award nominee Randal Myler, with choreography by Drama Desk Award winner Stephanie Klemons (Hamilton).
Rock & Roll Man runs at Salisbury Playhouse until7 March, before heading out on a UK tour. Join us in Salisbury to experience the show live before it hits the road!
