Wiltshire Creative is delighted to be working with Talawa in Play On! coming to Salisbury Playhouse on 22nd October 2024. Talawa is the UK’s outstanding Black British Theatre Company and its purpose is to champion Black Excellence in theatre; to nurture talent in emerging and established artists of African or Caribbean heritage and to tell inspirational and passionate stories, reflecting Black experiences through art.

Talawa’s work is informed by the wealth and diversity of the Black British experience, which is transformed into outstanding work. Talawa share our Wiltshire Creative values of enriching the cultural life of all, investing in talent and inspiring dialogue with and within communities.

Its within this frame of reference that we are delighted to be broadening the spectrum of work created by Black artists through the development of ideas through seed commissions.
