About Mind The Gap: Summer 2024
Mind The Gap is an opportunity for older people to meet and explore the creative arts in the safe surroundings of Salisbury Playhouse. The group meets fortnightly for coffee, conversation and creativity!
£5 per session. Please book in advance.
Intergenerational Drama
Friday 12 April
Join members of Stage 65 youth theatre looking at ghost stories in the run up to their next show Ghosts & Grimm Tales. The session will be a fun mix of drama games and storytelling.
Patch’s Parade Patch Making
Friday 26 April
To open Salisbury International Arts Festival our new Salisbury giant Patch will parade through the city. Come along and make a patch that will get used for the giants’ outfit.
Fashioning Our World Exhibition @ Salisbury Museum
Friday 3 May | Mind the Gap EXTRA - Optional, off-site session
Exhibition curator Katy England will lead a tour of this fascinating exhibition of sustainable fashion.

Contemporary Dance with Debbie Lee-Anthony
Friday 24 May
A dance workshop responding to poetry through movement with Debbie Lee-Anthony. No dance experience is required and seated dancers are very welcome.
Samba with Kate Edgar
Friday 7 June
Have fun learning to play samba using junk and percussion instruments in this lively session with Kate Edgar. No musical experience necessary.
Writing for Performance with Jayne Woodhouse
Friday 21 June & Friday 5 July
Explore writing and storytelling inspired by myths, legends and imaginary worlds with playwright Jayne Woodhouse. Over 2 weeks you will work on a piece to perform. To get the most out of these sessions, please attend both.
Writing Sharing & Summer Social
Friday 19 July
A chance to perform your writing from previous sessions and socialise with Mind The Gap members at the close of the summer term. All welcome with no pressure to perform.
