About London City Ballet: Rebirth

Two years on and nearing 100 performances later, London City Ballet is proud to present its latest programme at the Salisbury international Arts Festival.

The company offer their premiere of ‘Mephisto Waltz’ by Ashley Page, an exuberant curtain raiser perfect to introduce the technical prowess of each skilled dancer of the company.

From London City Ballet’s recent performance at the Royal Opera House’s Linbury Theatre, a lost gem by Jerome Robbins, unseen for decades returns to the stage. 'Quiet City', danced by a trio of male dancers then meets a taste of the new as the company proudly introduce rising Choreographic star Tasha Chu with her latest work 'Soon'.

Closing the evening, an uplifting finale, set to a backdrop of Kandinsky masterpieces, is Alexei Ratmansky's 'Pictures at an Exhibition'. Adored by dancers and critics alike this fiendish challenge of technical and musical skill is performed by the entire company and set to the original Mussorgsky score.

For one night only you can see London City Ballet ahead of its international tour and Sadler's Wells season.
