In this 5-week course, participants will be introduced to a variety of drawing materials and methods by Edward Scott.

Each week, we will focus on a particular material or approach and explore the limits of its possibilities. Through guided demonstrations in medium-specific areas and experimental techniques. Though a variety of forms, including sketching, charcoal, oil pastels, inks and collage, participants will be encouraged and supported to explore their own creative voice, while picking up new ideas, processes and techniques.

This course offers a playful and exploratory approach, ideal for complete beginners who have always wanted to ‘have a go’, as well as creatives looking to experiment more within their practice.

Materials will be provided but students are welcome to additionally bring their own pencils, paper/sketchpad or other drawing materials they may wish to use.

Edward Scott is an artist living and working in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Edward studied Fine Art at Falmouth University and graduated in 2021. Since then, he has been working across community arts practice teaching both regular classes and one-off workshops in painting, drawing and ceramics.
