About our events

Collaboration lies at the heart of our vision and this season we are proud to be working with a wide range of partners to bring you a season full of variety.

GENERAL ON SALE

28th June

In September, we will be working in association with Original Theatre as they revive their acclaimed adaptation of Sebastian Faulks’s Birdsong prior to a national tour. This will be followed by a major revival of Marie Jones’ brilliant comedy-drama about the filming of a Hollywood epic in rural Ireland, Stones in His Pockets, co-produced with the Barn Theatre, Cirencester and Octagon Theatre Bolton.

Later on in the season, we will be co-producing with Talawa Theatre Company a brand-new production of the Broadway musical Play On! This fantastic retelling of Twelfth Night features the music of Duke Ellington and transposes Shakespeare’s Illyria to 1940s Harlem. Not to be missed.

Around these exciting productions, we have a packed programme of visiting work on the Main Stage at the Playhouse and, of course, at Salisbury Arts Centre where this season we have reintroduced Thursday night events alongside our Friday and Saturday night offer. Finally, the season comes to an end with our fabulous pantomime, Sleeping Beauty, made in Salisbury.
