Ticketing FAQs

How can I pay for my tickets?
You can pay online or over the phone with Wiltshire Creative Gift Vouchers or a Mastercard, Visa or Maestro. We do not accept American Express cards. We also accept cash payments, cheques and National Theatre Gift Tokens/Cards in person at the Ticket Sales desk.

What kind of concessions/discounts do you offer?
At selected performances, discounts are available for Under 25s, Full-Time Students, Disabled, Income Support and Millitary Personnel. Please visit our Pricing page for more information. To get your discounted rate or to enquire please call our Ticket Sales team on 01722 320333. You may be asked for I.D. at the time of booking or collecting your tickets.

Are there discounts for groups?
Yes. We offer a range of discounts for groups and schools. Please visit Group Bookings for more information.

Can I exchange my tickets?
Tickets are sold as non-exchangeable. However, if you’re a Member of Wiltshire Creative tickets may be exchanged for another performance of the same production. You must exchange your tickets 24 hours in advance of the original performance for which you have booked. If you can no longer use your tickets you can return them to the Ticket Office as a donation to the organisation.

Can I get a refund on my tickets?
Refunds are only available if a performance is cancelled. If you can no longer use your tickets, you can return them to the Ticket Office as a donation to the organisation.

Do you accept and sell theatre vouchers?
We sell and accept Wiltshire Creative Gift Vouchers which can be bought and used online or in person at Ticket Sales. You can also buy them over the phone and they can be posted out to you (UK only). We also sell and accept National Theatre Gift Tokens/Cards but these can only be bought in person at Ticket Sales and cannot be used to purchase tickets online, they must be used in person at Ticket Sales or over the phone.

Can I sit my child on my lap and not purchase a ticket for them?
For most Theatre For Families productions, children 18 months or under can attend for free (for licensing reasons an ‘under 18 months’ ticket must booked). However, some productions are aimed at certain ages and children under 18 months may be charged.

 

Performace FAQs

Can I bring a baby with me to a performance?
Children 18 months or under can attend free of charge to a pantomime and certain Theatre For Families productions (for licensing reasons an ‘under 18 months’ ticket must booked). However, some productions are aimed at certain ages and children under 18 months may be charged. Please enquire at Ticket Sales if unsure. Some productions also have minimum age recommendations.

How do I find out how long the show will be?
For most productions the running time isn’t known until shortly before the production opens. You can check the running time of a performance via our website on the production page under booking details. Alternatively, you can call Ticket Sales on 01722 320333.

Is strobe lighting used at the theatre?
Some productions include strobe lighting, flashing lights and other effects. Information regarding the use of any of these will be signed in the foyer. You can also ask at Ticket Sales if you are unsure.

What is a Free Post Show Talk?
A Post Show Talk is an opportunity for audiences to question the cast and creative teams of productions. It usually follows  an evening performance and can last up to 30 minutes depending on how many questions are asked. Venue FAQs

Is there parking at Salisbury Playhouse?
Directly behind Salisbury Playhouse is Salisbury’s Central Car Park (postcode SP1 3SL) offering long-stay and short-stay parking. It is free after 6pm. Culver Street Car Park (a 10 minute walk from the Playhouse) is free from 3pm on weekdays and all day on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
 

Salisbury train station is approximately 10 minutes walk from Salisbury Playhouse and is served by routes from London, Bristol and Southampton.

Is there parking at Salisbury Arts Centre?
College Street and Salt Lane car parks are both free after 6pm and both are, quite literally, a stone's throw from Salisbury Arts Centre.
Disabled Parking
Two disabled parking spaces are available at the rear of the Arts Centre, accessed via the driveway on Bedwin Street. If those are full, further disabled parking may be found in College Street car park.
Public Transport
Buses go from New Canal Street and Endless Street nearby and is served by Salisbury Reds and More Buses.

How accessible is Wiltshire Creative?

Do you offer pre-show meals?
Yes. At Salisbury Playhouse we offer a seasonally changing menu of delicious hot food which is available to order from the Foyer Cafe from 5.30pm on performance evenings (last pre-show order 6.45pm) and prior to matinees. See Food & Drink

Can I use a credit/debit card when purchasing refreshments at the bar?
Yes but a minimum of £5 must be spent in order to use a card.

How do I become a Member of Wiltshire Creative?

Can I sign up as a Member of Salisbury Arts Centre through Wiltshire Creative?

How do I become a Wiltshire Creative Member?
Thank you for your interest in supporting Wiltshire Creative as a Member. Our new Wiltshire Creative Membership launched in May 2018, following a period of consultation with our current Members of the Arts Centre, Festival and Playhouse. If you would like us to keep in touch about our plans for our new scheme, please email membership@wiltshirecreative.co.uk.

I am a current Member of Salisbury Arts Centre and have been offered a Complimentary Salisbury Playhouse Membership. How do I sign up for this?
All current Members of Salisbury Arts Centre were sent a letter (dated 16 February 2018), which included information detailing the offer of Complimentary Membership for Salisbury Playhouse. If you have not received this letter please get in touch on 01722 345 161 or email membership@wiltshirecreative.co.uk.  

I have signed up or renewed my Salisbury Playhouse and/or Salisbury Arts Centre Membership, but have yet to receive my Membership card or information. What can I do?
We are currently working through a large number of Membership queries, so please allow up to three weeks for your Membership cards or further information to arrive. If you have been waiting longer than three weeks or have any urgent queries which are not answered in our FAQs section, please email membership@wiltshirecreative.co.uk and we will be happy to help you further.

How do I sign in as a Member to book my ticket offers?
Once on the booking page for your chosen show, you can sign in with your email address and password on the left hand side of the page. If you are using a mobile or tablet the sign in may appear at the top of the page. You can then continue with your booking and your Members ticket offers will be available after you select your seats. Please ensure you sign in before you start the booking process.

I have signed in but I am still unable to book my ticket offers – what can I do?
Please ensure that you sign in using the email address registered with your Membership or you will not be recognised as a Member and your ticket offers will not be available to you. If you are unsure of the details you have registered with us, please email membership@wiltshirecreative.co.uk.
