Story Time Movers

Friday 25 September, 30 October and 27 November at 10.30am – 11.15am

Early years dance sessions aimed at 2-5 year olds, encouraging physical and cognitive development through creative movement. Inspired by familiar story books, the sessions will allow children to explore their own imagination.

The stories the group will be looking at for the Autumn Term are:

   •    The Enormous Crocodile by Roald Dahl

   •     The Three Wishes, a story from Scandinavia

   •     Paddington at the Circus by Michael Bond

From September, Story Time Movers will be delivered by Emma-Marie Newman. Emma trained at Creative Academy in West London, and completed her BA (Hons) at Canterbury University gaining a First in Performing Arts (Dance).

She followed this with further training, gaining a Professional Certificate in Education (DTTLS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills Status (QTLS), and is a registered dance teacher with National Association of Teachers of Dancing and the British Ballet Organisation.

Emma-Marie founded Catch Creative in London nearly 6 years ago and the Salisbury branch has been running for 1 year. They hold classes in ballet, contemporary, drama, tap, musical theatre, street dance and pre-school.

Emma-Marie lives in Salisbury with her husband Alan and son Sebastian (a performer in the making!) and is really looking forward to facilitating the Story Time Movers Class with Wiltshire Creative!
