Stage 65 Autumn Term 2021
The Youth Arts programme engages any young person from 0-21 through regular workshops in term time and half term opportunities.
Stage 65 aims to harness young people’s imagination, creativity, and expression. It aims to build a network of young creatives through active sessions and collaborative work.
These weekly regular workshops are open to any young person; no experience needed. Young people explore storytelling through drama techniques, games, exercises and fun, introducing them to performance and the world of theatre.
These inclusive workshops are a fantastic opportunity to learn and discover in a professional arts environment, build an interest, and meet new friends.

Our Youth Arts programme enables young people to engage with high quality arts experiences. Be it as an audience member, a performer or as an artist; someone looking for a career in the arts or someone who wants to make new friends, be creative and have fun. We support the needs of any young person to get involved.
The young people from Wiltshire Creative share their experiences of productions and workshops and talk about how being part of a theatre in the community has helped them develop as people and artists.
Featuring music from The Lyte Brigade and Home From The Unknown
Fortnightly during term time, via Zoom
Do you want to expand your knowledge of plays and playwrights? Join us to simply read plays and discuss them together. We will look at a diverse range of playwrights, themes and influences. You are welcome to get involved and read or just sit back and listen. These sessions are an excellent introduction to the world of theatre.
Join us at Salisbury Arts Centre every Friday for a fun workshop exploring a different art form each week, including dance, music, drama and art. These sessions are designed for under 5s and their grown ups to enjoy together!
The Wiltshire Creative Young Ambassadors scheme is open to any young person aged 14-21. Our Young Ambassadors are individuals who are interested in a variety of artforms and support Wiltshire Creative’s work with young people in Salisbury and the wider county. The group meets fortnightly to discuss how Wiltshire Creative can be more responsive and made more relevant and exciting for young people in the local community. There is also the opportunity to get involved in projects and programmes which crop up throughout the year.
The Young Ambassadors’ most recent project was SHIFT
We are now recruiting for the new academic year. Being a Wiltshire Creative Young Ambassador is fantastic for your CV or university applications. We are also part of the Digital Badge scheme that means you can earn certificates that demonstrate professional skills, to use in furthering your career.

Salisbury Arts Pottery is a fully equipped pottery studio with a legacy dating back to the founding of Salisbury Arts Centre.
Within our Youth and Children’s pottery classes creativity is nurtured through encouragement and joyful exploration of the possibilities and the limits of the material. Children and young people can learn various hand-building and clay modelling techniques as well as how to throw pots on the potter’s wheel. In a fun and enjoyable way ceramic science is introduced to our young pottery students through trying out various decorating and glazing techniques.
We are very proud of the successes of many of our young students who, having attended our classes, were able to complete Arts Awards and Duke of Edinburgh skills challenges, to use the knowledge gained to assist with art scholarships applications at public schools, and portfolios to enroll on University Courses.
