Ayllene Dance present
Guildhall Square, Salisbury, SP1 1JH
Sunday 30 May 2021 & Monday 31 May 2021 at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm
New production, BONDED, explores the construct of human dependency – especially that of siblings – and how time and external conditions can affect the synergetic connection. Choreographed & performed by twin sisters, Kristina and Sadé, founders of Alleyne Dance, the work takes the audience through a transitional journey of inter-and-independency through abstract narrative.
Alleyne Dance is a UK based company with an international reach. Founded in 2014 by the sisters, the company works in two main strands, performance and participation.
Alleyne Dance’s choreographic aesthetic reflects the sisters diverse background in athletics and dance training. Within their abstract contemporary construct, Alleyne Dance blend Afro-Caribbean, Hip Hop, Kathak and Circus Skills, delivered as fast paced and dynamic movement. They infuse lyrical and fluid motion, layered with rhythm and textures in physically powerful, yet graceful performances.
“The Alleyne twins, Kristina and Sadé, deliver dance that demands respect.” Graham Watts, Dance Tabs,
“Abstract and emotionally rich” KA Bradley, Exeunt
“Their movement manifests all the power and beauty that the human body can create” Nora Turpault, Artistic Director, Festival de danse Traces Contemporaines, (France)
"Alleyne Dance are rising stars of the contemporary dance scene."
