Suitable for ages 10+

Have you seen potters making a pot and dreamt about having a go yourself?

This is a perfect opportunity for children aged 10+ to try out what it feels like when learning to be a potter. At the end of your session you will be able to choose three of your best pots which we will fire and glaze for you.

Prepare to get dirty. We recommend that you come wearing old clothes, apron and an old towel.

The workshops will be led by potter Bridget Timoney.

Until September 2021 Bridget worked with Mirka Golden-Hann as the Visual Arts and Pottery Assistant at Salisbury Arts Centre. She studied ceramics at Limerick School of Art and Design, trained by Gus Mableson at the prestigious Thomastown Skills Course and has completed an Adopt a Potter apprenticeship with Julie Ayton.

Bridget who has been potting for ten years, is now the Studio Ranger at the new ceramic studio at Messums Creative.
