Convolutions in Clay
By Jo Taylor
Jo Taylor is a ceramic artist living & working in Wiltshire; she studied ceramics at both Degree & Masters level at Bath Spa University.
Frequently inspired by architectural details such as plaster ceilings, many of her works have been influenced by buildings in Wiltshire such as Corsham Court, Amesbury Abbey & Milton Road Baths in Swindon. In her Salisbury exhibition at the Young Gallery, together with her other works you will have the chance to see Taylor’s new work inspired by the Arundells House Chinese wallpaper which depicts the story of the Monkey King.
Combining techniques such as throwing on the potter’s wheel and handbuilding, her complex works are all created in a small studio at her home in Corsham.
The Young Gallery is closed on Sundays
