24 October - The Boy Who Cried Wolf

Theatre at Bemerton Heath, Salisbury 4pm
Jacob is a young boy who loves to play tricks. When he is given the responsibility of being the village shepherd he cannot resist the temptation...
Delightfully re-imagined, Aesop’s much-loved fable about the power of our word, is brought to life for young children and their families. This colourful show combines exquisite puppetry and dynamic storytelling with live music, singing and the chance to join in.
This performance takes place at Bemerton Heath at 4pm, followed by ‘meet the puppets’

28 October - Play in a Day (ages 5 - 7 & 8 - 11)

Salisbury Playhouse, 10am - 4pm
An exciting way to spend a day of your half term. Come along, make new friends and create your own play with a professional theatre practitioner. You’ll explore storytelling, costumes, props and sounds!
Then at the end of the day share your creation with friends and family. Sharing for family and friends at 3.30pm.

29 October - Dance in a Day

Salisbury Arts Centre, 10am - 4pm
A day of creative, fun and inclusive dance workshops offering young people the chance to join a professional dancer and work towards creating a Dance in a Day. Explore choreography, music and sound and costumes too! At the end of the day share with friends and family.

29 October - Same Same But Different

Theatre in The Salberg at Salisbury Playhouse
A new family show, mixing Kathak, Hip Hop dance, contemporary dance, hints of live music and physical storytelling, to create a playful and colourful world, exploring our curiosities and fears, the times we feel different and when we belong.

29 October - Make a Film in a Day

Salisbury Arts Centre, 10am - 4pm
Make a film in a day! An excellent glimpse into the world of filmmaking. Participants will be taught some basic film making skills including film shots and camera movemens as well as sound recording and editing.

31 October - Learn to Sew - Make a Zip Bag

Salisbury Arts Centre, 10am - 2pm
Come and learn how to make your own bag with Teri Buxton from Wiltshire Creative's Wardrobe Department. This class is perfect for complete beginners as you will be taught how to use a sewing machine, cut out a pattern and learn many basic sewing techniques. You will be making a versatile zip-bag which is great for storing anything from stationary to make-up. Using fabric of your own choice and a selection on trims you will also be able to make your bag as individual as you like!

31 October - You've Got Dragons 

Theatre in The Salberg at Salisbury Playhouse
Lots of people get them. Sometimes they make you feel alone. So, what can a young child with a bad case of the dragons do? With live music, this sensitive production is a humorous exploration of the dragons we face.
Featuring creative captioning, BSL and Audio Description, it’s a treat for the whole family. And remember… “No dragon is more powerful than YOU!”

Join us for an exciting circus skills workshop. Test your skills, learn to juggle, spin plates and even brush up on your poi skills!

1 November - Jewellery Making

Salisbury Arts Centre, 10am - 12pm and 1pm - 3pm
A fun jewellery workshop and a great opportunity to be creative, using beads made from a range of different materials - shells, glass, acrylic, wood and more. Enjoy learning some basic jewellery making techniques whilst making key rings, bracelets, necklaces or maybe beady people or animals. Take home 2 or 3 creations to be proud of!

1 November - Arthur's Dream Boat

Theatre in The Salberg at Salisbury Playhouse
A magical playful children’s show with puppets, so enchanting that everyone will want to sail away with Arthur in his dream boat! The music is by Tom Gray, of the Mercury Award-winning band, Gomez.

2 November - Comic Art Masterclass

Salisbury Arts Centre, from 10am
Kev F Sutherland writes and draws for The Beano, Doctor Who and Marvel comics, and now he will teach you how easy it is. After the end of a Comic Art Masterclass, everyone goes away with a comic containing a strip by everyone in the class plus an individual caricature.
