A personal message from Gareth and Sebastian
Over the past few days we, along with businesses and individuals around the world, have had to make some difficult decisions. This year’s Salisbury International Arts Festival has been cancelled and both Salisbury Playhouse and Salisbury Arts Centre have closed to the public for the time being.
As challenging as these decisions are, our first priority is the safety and well-being of our staff, our volunteers, actors, artists, participants and you, our valued customers.
These are tough times for everyone but we have been overwhelmed by the volume of support we’ve received so far. Many of you have offered the value of your tickets to cancelled events as a donation towards our future work and some have offered support in other ways. On behalf of everyone at Wiltshire Creative, we thank you.
We know that the arts can be a tonic in times of trouble which makes it particularly disappointing that we are currently unable to bring people together to be entertained and inspired. Over the coming months, however, we will be finding new, creative ways of keeping in touch and are already exploring how we can best serve our community.
Our focus is also on the moment when this current crisis passes and we are determined to ensure that, when it does, we are ready to re-open and bring the stages and spaces of Salisbury back to life with laughter, joy and wonder.
From all of us here at Wiltshire Creative, please take care of yourselves and thank you for your ongoing support.
