20 September 2018

Wiltshire Creative is seeking to recruit Young Ambassadors interested in a variety of artforms to support its work with young people in Salisbury and the wider county.

The Wiltshire Creative Young Ambassadors scheme is open to any young person aged 14-21. The group meets monthly to discuss how Wiltshire Creative can be more responsive and made more relevant and exciting for young people in the local community.

Young Ambassadors work across the organisation which incorporates Salisbury Arts Centre, Salisbury International Arts Festival and Salisbury Playhouse; they meet professional members of staff and visiting artists from across the arts industry. There are more opportunities than ever before which include programming, curating visual arts and blogging.

Young Ambassadors advocate for the organisation and are responsible for communicating the exciting work done at Wiltshire Creative for young people in the area. They also have the opportunity to support the organisation with staff recruitment and on major projects such as exhibitions and festivals.

Wiltshire Creative is a pan-arts organisation that brings together the energy and ambition of Salisbury Arts Centre, Salisbury International Arts Festival and Salisbury Playhouse. It is an ambitious and innovative joint arts offer that secures a bright future for audiences, artists and participants.

If interested or if you have any questions, please contact Wiltshire Creative Youth Theatre Director Dave Orme on 01722 345174 or dave.orme@wiltshirecreative.com.

Notes to Editors:

Wiltshire Creative is rooted in, and draws inspiration from, the city of Salisbury and works beyond its boundaries and draws audiences from across the county and further afield. The creation of new work is at the heart of its programme, as it builds new relationships with audiences, artists and participants.
